Overall, we had a wonderful time!
Capetown and the Cape region were unbelievable beautiful. Our guide, Danie, was very friendly and helpful. We did add a trip to Robben Island, on our own that he helped arrange. Accomodations were perfect. The activities in the Oudtshoorn area were varied and unique. Rita and I both got the ostrich neck massage and I pet a tiger. No-one bungy jumped, but there were some serious serious consideration by Roy and Samun.
The Kruger Park area was also outstanding. We enjoyed our time inside the park. Our guide, Andre, was an excellent naturalist and was very generous to cook all the dinners for us at the camps. Thorneybush was a nice supplement to the inside the park experience. Between the two areas, we did see the big 5 plus cheetahs.
The Summerfields Lodge/ Spa was not very useful; we arrived around 5 pm and departed at 8:30 AM, so all spa activities were closed. It would have been better to have a more standard hotel nearer to the airport for such a short stay.
The Victoria Falls area was also very scenic and beautiful. Although the hotels were very luxurious, we were a bit uncomfortable with all British "aristocratic" and colonial atmosphere. Not sure what was available here, but we would have preferred accommodations a little less upscale. The Royal Livingstone was convenient, but a more standard hotel in the town of Livingstone would have been fine.
All of our pickups and connections were flawless. The trip was very well organized and the service was great. We were pleasantly surprised by the favorable US dollar to SA rand exchange rate and found meal and wine prices and value quite good. We all were very impressed with South Africa. By the 4th day in the Cape, Rita and I were ready to live there!
Thank you for working with us and coordinating the trip. We had a great time!
We've returned from a trip of a lifetime, it was thoroughly fabulous.
You've managed to take care of every aspect of our trip and the itinerary was fantastic.
Each of the safari destinations were unique and your selection was superb. We'd be hard pressed to decide on just one and thus the three selected were perfect. Cape Town and Victoria Falls were also incredible travel destinations.
We cannot thank you enough and sincerely appreciate your experience and efforts.
One tiny remiss, could have been advised that travelling to Zimbabwe requires $75 visa, fortunately we had the cash. In any case, it was a must do trip for Victoria Falls.
We will not hestitate to use your services in the future, nor will we hestitate to reccomend your services.

Trains, animals and food are some of the few passions I have in life (not necessarily in that order). My decision to go to South Africa was mainly to experience an intimate encounter with wildlife in an environment that is as close to their natural environment as possible. My initial contact with Climax Tourism was to inquire about a package tour they advertised that includes the Blue Train, Big 5 Safari and Cape Town. From the very beginning, Cecil Harley was the specialist that took care of me. I knew what I wanted from the trip but the challenge was to design an itinerary that would accommodate time constraints (the trip was a last minute decision and I had to be back home by certain date) and to include the Blue Train with its limited time schedule. Cecil worked hard in designing several itineraries to best fit my schedule and budget. All throughout, Cecil was always very patient and replied professionally and promptly to all of my questions.
I didn’t know what to expect from the trip as I had never travelled to any countries in Africa. All of the tour guides were very professional, knowledgeable, prompt, pleasant, and friendly. Cape Town was beautiful and the people felt genuinely nice. Being in the Blue Train was quite an experience. It’s the perfect backdrop for an Agatha Christie’s novel—mysterious, elegant, and classic. Service was superb and the train was truly a moving 5-star hotel. The safari is a photographer’s dream. There were so many momentous events to capture. I am still dumbfounded as to how close we can get to these wild animals. Pierre Mouton and Service, the assigned ranger and trekker were quite a team. They tracked all Big 5 and many other wildlife. Pierre was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna of the region. It’s always gratifying to learn from one who shows much enthusiasm in his field.
I learn so much about the history and peoples of South Africa. Of course the opinions of the history, culture and points of view differ in range with people from different backgrounds and economic status. All politics aside, South Africans were very approachable, courteous and warm. Overall, it was a spectacular and unforgettable experience.
I thank you Cecil for making this trip possible!
I just want to thank you for a amazing trip. It was more than I thought it would be. I did so much and saw so many awesome animals , I saw four of the big five. The places I stayed was great. Cliff Top was one of my favorites , beautiful place and huge game farm for the animals. The staff was so nice there. The Ranger Sebastian was awesome and funny. The Elephant Safari was a highlight as well as the great tour of Cape Town. Cape Town is a great city. I went to the waterfront thanks for the suggestion I got to spend a good amount of time there. Thanks again. Also the drivers were nice and great also. Everything went smooth with all the transfers.
Yes, we’re home and catching up on things to get back into our routine.
The trip was super. Pat and I between us took 2700 photos. We saw all of the big five MULTIPLE times over with addition of all of the other animals and seals, penguins, and baboons as a bonus in Cape Town.
All of your associates performed flawlessly. All of the logistics worked perfectly, with not a single glitch.
Reentering SA from Zambia, immigration carefully checked our Yellow Fever UN pamphlets. You should stress this to your clients as we were told that without the appropriate certificates of immunization, we would have been denied entrance into SA.
All of the hotels save one were fantastic. The accommodations at Hoya Hoya, Elephant Plains, Botswana, and David Livingstone (DLSL) were super, with Elephant Plains having the best room and view. The views of the rivers from Botswana and David Livingstone were great and both of their dusk cruises were filled with animals by the rivers feeding.
We thought the Ambassador Hotel in Cape Town was a little wanting. Nothing major but our least favorite hotel even given the ocean view.
We were disappointed to not be able to go the top of Table Mtn. It was socked with its own private fog-bank the entire time we were in Capetown. (See photo from boat on way to Robben Island on flickr). But Seppie took us up Signal Hill where we got a similar panorama of Cape Town.
All of the restaurant transfers were planned to get us to the airport about 3 hours before flight time. This is too early. Two hours would have been better. For our last transfer, we had Seppie pick us up an hour later than plan of record, and drop us at the airport about 2 hours before flight-time.
Thanks for a great and successful trip.

We arrived back in Germany after four beautiful days in Cape Town followed by three sunny days in Dubai. The temperature here in Germany is around 6 deg cel at the moment....we all miss the warm weather.
We all are still talking about the wonderfull stay in Johannesburg together with your wonderful company on all our tours and the information that you gave us at all places.....we cannot forget this holiday of ours.
Thank you Andre for being with us...we will come back and do the itinerary that you spoke to us about....infact the 14 day itinerary that you have in your website is a very interesting one....and you will take us on this one!!!
We will definitely stay in touch and I will forward The Climax Tours web address to my contacts around the globe.
Take care Andre and thanks once again. Fondest regards from Reggie and Mama too.
We enjoyed a wonderful safari holiday thanking the competence and the seriousness of the tour operator Mr.Cecil Harley and of our guide/interpreter/driver Mrs.Carla Dogliani.Everything was perfect !
So, our score is:10.
Hello Vera (Climax's online agent at www.africaguide.com)
I just returned from the most wonderful holiday in Africa! It's my first visit and it will certainly not be my last. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, from camping at Victoria Falls to Safari at Kruger and finally at the most beautiful Cape Town.
Cecil at Climax have been most helpful. He was very responsive from the beginning and I am very grateful for his help in booking 4days/3 nights at a tent at Waterfront Resort, Livingstone, Zambia. The arrangement including transfer from OR Tambo was flawless and it was a very auspicious start of my holiday :-)
Now I am planning my next trip to Africa and will certainly turn to you for ideas and suggestions. Thank you for the great site and keep up the good work.

1. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR OUR WONDERFUL TRIP!!! Robyn and I had a FABULOUS time and we would do it all over again!!! The tour guides were great, the hotels were perfect, the food was good and the tours were exactly what we were looking for!! If you ever need a referral, let me know, I'd be happy to help!!
2. Do you have an address that I could send mail to Nic Prinsloo? I have something for him! He was FABULOUS!
(Also, just FYI, Nic told us that he LOVED doing tours for YOU because you are always "organized and on top of things!" I would have to agree!)
Anyway, thanks again, it was an AMAZING trip!
Dr Azman and his family had just returned from their holidays. All went well and they had a good time. They extend their utmost appreciation for all your efforts and arrangements. Thank you very much!

Thanks a lot!!

Hi Cecil This is just a message to say thank you for organising a great safari for my family. Andre was a great guide and the information he shared was extremely interesting. We loved the close encounters with the animals and we now realise that if you want to see cats you need to go in July. Thank you once again. Kathy Paterson, New Zealand
Thanks for all your help
Ulusaba was sensational, as was Cape Grace. My wife had the holiday of a lifetime (as did I!)
It was all spectacular. After the first mishap, everything went very smoothly. Thank you.
Kinds regards, Merv
Baie dankie vir julle flinke en uitstekende diens. My dank en waardering aan André ook vir sy diens

"Thank you for your prompt and excellent service. My thanks and appreciation to Andre for his services and special contribution to a very successful tour."
Climax Tourism Services took care of my every need for my first trip to Africa. I was a bit nervous traveling as a single female, but they made all the arrangements and everything was taken care of for me.
My safari in Kruger Park was unforgettable. Marc's Treehouse Lodge fit the occasion perfectly, although I did have a few unwanted guests the first evening :-). The hostess was very sweet, the food delicious, and the safari exciting. The guides were not only knowledgeable but anyone could tell they were completely dedicated and enthralled with their jobs. That made our safari even more special.
Victoria Falls was breathtaking. The tour on the falls and the river cruise just made the experience that more memorable. I have photographs of scenes that I could never have imagined. Again, the accommodations at the Zambezi Sun were lovely and the food excellent. The staff were helpful, always polite and always with a smile.
Cape Town speaks for itself. Africa definitely is a place of surprises. First a safari, then to the falls, then on to a bustling metropolis with a small town flair. Only in Africa :-). Both guides in Cape Town were phenomenal!! They answered every question and more. They were as excited as their guests to show them their town and all the beautiful sites. They made my stay that much more special.
I want to personally thank Cecil and all his Team at Climax Africa for making my first trip to Africa as memorable as I knew it would be. I will definitely return and hope to build more fond memories...and hope to bring my family and friends along too.
Thank you for your emai. Sorry for the late response but I am just travelling and I don-t have everyday internet access.
The Safari with Climax was great. Everything was organisez well. Thank you very much again.
Just something small. What I would suggest is that just one night will be at Marc's Treehouse and the other nights at an other hotel. The Marc's Treehouse is very special, but me and also other people thought that they have to do some renovatings. Once we had a big rain at night. I was lucky with my room but the others not. Some people had water in the room.
But after that everything was ok and the tour in Cape Town was also well organised.
Have a good day and Happy New Year.
I have finally gotten home from my travels and am catching up on e-mails etc. I just wanted to thank-you for your amazing service! I was thrilled with the all around quality of the trip. It was really above and beyond my expectations. I am sorry about the flight delay and also the fact that you did not receive my text with my new flight info. I wish you had handled my hotel arrangements as well but I will keep that in mind for next time. Just to let you know, Andre was a delight. He was so informative, professional but fun. I had no idea I would get the individual service that I did. I hope to bring my husband back and possibly my boys. I will definitely be contacting you. I also spread the word about your excellent service to my delegation. Thank-you again for a great trip!
We will thank you for a wonderful trip to Kruger Partk and Swaziland, also Pongola Game Reserve was magnificient. Also a very great thank you to André Gildenhuys for his fantastic guidance and driving. We had very great holidays with you!!!!
Family De Boeck
Thanks for the nice organiozed tour. All was good, and once thanks.

I would like to thank you very much for the trip you designed for me : all was very interesting and nice.
Dear Climax Tourism,
I recently completed a short safari, staying at Marc's Treehouse Lodge. The whole process went like clockwork from the start. Being a single female traveler, I was concerned about safety, but I truly had no need to worry. Everything from my travel to Johannesburg and hotel accomodations there to transportation to the camp and back to the hotel was was well orchestrated through Climax. Marc's Treehouse Lodge was a little more rustic than I expected, but the treehouse was fun and thoroughly adequate with a very comfortable bed, electricity, and en suite facilites. The little tree frog who shared the shower with me served as a reminder that I was indeed in the African bush! Monkeys and amazing birdsong were the morning alarm clock and stembok were grazing right by my porch! What a treat! The food was simple, traditional cooking and absolutely delicious. The staff members at the lodge were delightful and totally concerned with the comfort of the guests. Getting to know the other guests was lovely and we quickly became a congenial group. I especially enjoyed chatting with our guide Lorey. I had one day in Krueger Park and what an amazing day it was- we saw the big 5 and so much more. The guide for my vehicle was very interesting, fun, and knowledgable- I'll never forget how to identify impala, kudu, and waterbok from his whimsical technique! All in all it was an wonderful and unforgettable experience and I wish I had been able to stay longer!
We loved our South Africa trip immensely and would like to thank Climax for bringing my 50th birthday trip together.
We were so happy with Andre who was our guide for half the trip. He was a wealth of information and looked after us ever so well and made us feel very at home.
My goal was to not only see an 'ingwe' but to get lots of beautiful pictures, so thank you Climax, Cecil & Andre for helping me achieve this.
Hope to be back again one day.
Rosi & KG
We returned to the states yesterday, and I still have a bit of jet lag. We all could write many pages about how much we enjoyed the itinerary you put together for us. But in the interest of time just let me say that it could not have been any better. You read our desires and completely fulfilled them. Andre is terrific.
With much appreciation and best wishes,
George, Ted, and Dean - USA
I am writing somewhat belatedly to thank you for a fantastic safari and Soweto tour which we enjoyed last month
The safari component was fantastic and an unforgettable experience for Kirsty and myself. Andre our guide was great company and a fountain of knowledge about the Park, the animals and South Africa in general and he kept us entertained and informed throughout the tour
We were extremely fortunate to see the big 5 in our time in the park and that was entirely due to Andre's ability to spot game and sense of where animals might be.His knowledge of the Park gained from the time he worked there was a huge asset
Also his cooking skills and his sense of humour were both great and we really enjoyed his home cooking so much more than just having another " hotel" type meal.It gave us a greater feel for real life in South Africa which is what we were looking for
The tour of Soweto was also a "must do " for us and visiting Mandela's home and eating in a local cafe was great. It opened our eyes and changed some of our perceptions of Soweto which we had developed over years of media reports and, dare I say it, bias
We appreciated your assistance in setting up our tour in the Jo'burg-Kruger area and must say that at all times your ability to anticipate our needs and then make alterations to our plans as we kept making minor changes to our wish list was exceptional
The whole tour went like clockwork without exception from flights, to accommodation to the safari and internal travel and that was entirely due to your skilled and client focussed way of business and to Andre's expertise and personality.
We would thoroughly recommend your company and Andre to any one else considering travelling in South Africa and would definitely use you again should we be lucky enough to get back to South Africa which we hope to do
South Africa is a beautiful country and the safety concerns which many people warned us about before we travelled were to us almost non existent .As long as you are sensible and moderately cautious about when and where you go, as you have to do any where in the world, then there is absolutely no problem .
Cecil once again many thanks for a magic experience and I wish you , your company and André all the very best for the future ,please pass on our thanks and best wishes to Andre and congratulate him on the Bulls win in Super 14-the best team won .
Colin and Kirsty Milham - New Zealand
Just a quick note to let you know how much we enjoyed our recent trip, dealing with your company and your staff & guides. Andre is a really passionate and experienced guide and we felt we were lucky to have had him. When I get a chance I'll right something more in depth, but we just wanted to let you know how we enjoyed the trip and will be sure to let everyone know and rate you highly.
Bob & Barbara Brown
I just wanted to write to you and say thank you for organising the safari trip and accommodation in J'burg. We had a fantastic time in Kruger and saw everything we wanted to see (particularly a leopard!!). Andre was a brilliant guide and did a fantastic job catering for everyones needs and wishes in the group. Sue and i are both particularly interested in photography and Andre made every effort to cater for this during the safari trip.
I would definately recommend your company to my friends and family if they come to South Africa. Please pass on my best wishes to Andre when you next see him.
Thank you again for everything. Kind regards. Liz Anderson
Dear Cecil, just a note to thank you so very much for all the efforts you made to make a wonderful tour for Bob and me. We appreciated greatly the attention to detail and caring attitude you exhibited at every turn. Your websight is excellent. I had researched so many African tours and yours stood out for its attention to specific activities at each sight. I certainly made the right choice and you helped us constantly. We are so glad we used Climax and have already recommended your company to several friends who might have been a bit hesitant to book an African over an American group. We live in Europe 2 to 3 months a year and travel extensively and can readily say that this is the best tour we have ever had! I have to say that having Mart was the very best part of all. She is an amazing person, so thorough, knowledgable, and good natured. She, indeed, MADE the tour for us. She was absolutely wonderful, and I can not say enough good things about her. Her wonderful good humor, attention to detail, consideration, and kindness made us so sad when we had to leave! But we will return to your beautiful country and its fantastic, caring people. We feel so lucky that we used Climax and appreciate so much all that you , Mart, and Andre, too, did. Again, many many thanks.
Sincerely, Sherry and Bob Cox
We would like to say a big thank you to you for all you did for us in the last 4 days. You did more than supposed to do. We enjoyed the whole trip very much, it was very exiting and impressive. We saw the most beautiful places and learned a lot.
We will never forget these days with you and hope that one day we can have a second chance to be on tour with you.
I have been meaning to email you to thank you for planning such an amazing holiday for us. South Africa far exceeded any expectations we held. You truly are blessed to live in such a wonderful country.
I have travelled extensively and never have I felt at "home" so quickly. It was Day 1 and we had just left the markets and were travelling towards Lesedi when I shared with my husband, Darren, that I truly thought I could retire in S.A. - the scenery, the people, the atmosphere....all were just so welcoming.
Andre was a remarkable guide. His knowledge of the area, his demeanour with the children, and his patience of all of us as a family were wonderful. Andre was great to talk with and gave us some wonderful advice. He was extremely attentive and checked all of our bookings ahead of time so that when we arrived at our destinations we were able to breeze through without any problems. Brock really took to Andre, even giving him a hug when we said goodbye at the train station - Andre reminded Brock of his deceased grandfather, he also shared Brock's passion for wildlife. It was great spending time with him, such a lovely man. Please send our warmest regards to him.
We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to South Africa and on reflection wished we had've used your services in Cape Town too. Our pick-up from the train station was great (organised by you), our accommodation was wonderful (organised by us on-line) but our rental vehicle and a planned trip to Robben island were dreadful - The car company messed up our booking - kept us waiting a day and then delivered the wrong vehicle (!) At Robben Island we were unable to secure tickets until after our departure date. I was devastated - truly! I was in tears trying to get tickets but to no avail. We had tried to book several weeks in advance on-line but no-one was replying to our emails. On arriving in Cape Town we called and were told we had to purchase at the ticket counter only....by the time we arrived and got there everything had sold out. This was the most disappointing part of our trip...next time I'm having Climax book for us!
There will definitely be another South Africa trip for us....none of us wanted to leave. Next time we will look at doing Kruger and the East Coast and ... I WILL get to Robben Island!
We have shared our pictures and memories with family and friends and many are eager to visit. One family member in particular is talking of a July visit so if this comes to fruition I will most definitely pass on your name and company details. Climax's organisation, communication, and personnel cannot be beat. Thank you for helping us to fulfill a family dream.
My 15 year old son and I have just got back from our Guided Tour with CLIMAX Tourism Services. We arranged a private tour based around one of their advertised tours. The before tour organisation was fantastic with quick responses and accurate details. Our Guide was very professional and very experienced. Our accommodation exceeded our expectations which was a good thing. We would have no problems in recommending this Company to anyone based on our experiences.
Excellent tour, lot to see....our guide Nico was just great, looking for everything to make us comfortable. The drive was excellent, the timing was made for us, stops as we wanted, so all near perfection. Please keep this level of quality without raising the prices.
Andre, it is a pleasure to work with you. Your promptness and thoroughness make my job so much easier. (From Carole Ceremello-Scales Pres/World Consultant NORTHSTAR CRUISES & TOURS Canada)
Being our first encounter with African wild life we are very happy with the overall experience . We feel very lucky to have had such an experienced and knowledgeable guide like Nic . We feel we learnt a lot from him not just about African wild life but also about South Africa in general . Even though we didn't to see much, especially on our last day, we still feel that it has been an unforgettable experience.
Thanks Nic for your time and for sharing interesting experience !!
The holiday excelled our expectations ...
From the minute our Guide Nic picked us up at Jo Burg airport to the time he dropped us back at our hotel ... Nic was so informed and helpful .. Answer all our questions and gave us a full history etc of South Africa which was excellent as our first visit ...
Can't thank the Company and Nic for the best trip ever ...
I just wanted to send you an email to thank you for all the hard work you put into organizing our tour and ensuring it ran smoothly and was enjoyed by all.
The guests that went on it have been absolutely raving about it and are keen to go back and do more game viewing now. I have to say how fantastic Neil and Andre were as our guides - they made for a fantastic, relaxed atmosphere and were so accommodating. They were simply fantastic at their job. I can even quote one of the guys in our group saying "What Neil doesn't know simply isn't worth knowing" - that's informative and helpful he was.
Thanks again to you and Cecil for you help.
Just dropping you a note to once again thank you for the amazing job you did of guiding us to, through and from Kruger National Park. It was the highlight of the trip, and I just cannot stop talking about it, although I must admit that the experience is hard to put in words.
The rest of our trip was wonderful as well. Two lovely days in Johannesburg - we went to Soweto and Gold Reef city and did some shopping. Capetown is, as you said, just beautiful. We did a one-day Cape/Wine country tour and
then Robben Island. Then we went on to New york - and guess what? South African Airways did NOT lose our luggage!! I definitely plan to come back to South Africa, and whenever I do, I want you as my guide - still want to go to the Kalahari and brush my teeth with rum (I will bring the rum)!
Thanks once again for making our vacation simply wonderful!
Yes, our trip to South Africa was successful, and our stay at Lukimbi was very enjoyable. Also, the ground transportation service was excellent.
Thank you for arranging everything promptly and accurately. The game drives at Kruger were very interesting, and the animals we saw complimented our experience in Botswana of a couple of years ago. The camps in Botswana with Orient Express Safaris were a little more “up-scale” than Lukimbi in terms of service, meals, etc and there were almost no children with whom to contend. However, we were pleased with our experience at Lukimbi.
Again, thank you.
HI,We must tell just great things about the agency. Everything they arranged just perfect. We recomande them to every body who travel around the South Africa.
Thank you again for everything and we hope see you again.
Many thanks for the most wonderful holiday - over 3 weeks of travel that took us from Jo'burg, up to Kruger, down to Port Elizabeth via Durban and the Garden Route to Cape Town, and then back again on the Premier Classe train. We did everything - from animals in Kruger to the 3 nights in Umlodti (if you visit Fairlight Guest House from the UK, don't forget to take some Minstrels!), carrying on to the Garden Route - where Jamie did the Bungee Jump - and down to Cape Town.
We discovered the fact that giraffes are invisible - you see just one - and then a second ... and then a third ... and then a fourth etc. We saw a hyena suckling some newborn cubs, Jamie jumped off the highest bridge in the world, we zipped around the tree tops on zip wires, we stroked a King Cheetah, Jamie fulfilled a lifelong dream and played with cheetah cubs, we rode ostriches, we fed elephants, we dived with sharks, we saw whales 15m off the beach, we saw whales breaching, we went up Table Mountain in sunshine, we had a braai in Skukusa with an elephant watching us and all the while surrounded by the most fantastic scenery.
What can I say about Mart? If there was ever anything we asked her that she didn't know (and that didn't often happen!), she made sure she knew the answer by the next day. She was incredible. When we arrived at hotels/lodges, we were sent off to the bar whilst she checked us in and got the bags to our rooms. We missed her so much at Heathrow on our return when we had to sort outselves out - if only we could have put her in our bag and brought her home!
Finally what can I say about Climax's dedication - we regretted not buying a wall hanging on our first day, mentioned it to Cecil and by the time we arrived in Jo'burg, he had arranged for it to be purchased and delivered to us. That is service over and above ....
Thank you so much to Cecil and Andre for organising it, and to Mart for making it so special. We will be back ...
I guess the trip was balanced when I compared with Cape Town and Johanesburg . We went up table mountain and the time was that the mountain was covered with all types of clouds. But when we were up there it was all clear. The next day we went to see the seals and we saw table mountain with the clouds in mid way like a picture from a movie. The hotel in Capetown was an excellent choice . The weather was relatively kind with the rain holding off except when we were on the way to Hermanus. Some rain but it cleared. The winds stayed the next day and that chased the whales away. The hotel there was basic but sufficient. Whales was seen the day before I presume just before it rained in Hermanus . Our guide was excellent. He was practical and sharing his knowledge with us. I like some of his local knowledge information. He was very helpful minding that we had children and arranging the itinerary accordingly . In Johanesburg we saw our animals and appreciated camouflage. Giraffe which is an odd looking animal cannot be seen clearly at 300m until the “tree trunk” moves was a great experience. It is a pity we did have more time to see more of the animals but when you pack a holiday you need to live with the consequences.
Just a quick email to thank you very much for arranging our trip to South Africa. A week was definately not long enough but has given us a little taste of what we can do another time!! Please pass on our thanks to Nico, Andre and Seppie who all looked after us brilliantly. For your future info, the Premier Classe train was excellent. It was running 5 hours late, .....but the service was brilliant and a great way to catch a glimpse of the countryside when you dont have much time for exploring. The staff were most helpful and food was great. Would recommend it anytime.
Thanks again Cecil, hopefully we will be in touch again one day in the future.
Just a note to tell you that our trip was wonderful. The Cape Town Lodge was very nice and since we left so early to fly to Livingstone, sent us off with a large box breakfast. The proximity of the Zambezi Sun to Victoria Falls made the stay memorable. The walking tour of the falls and the boat tour on the river were well done. The day trip to Chobe was spectacular - the amount of game we saw in one day was a complete surprise, and crossing the border was quite an event. At the Emperor's Palace in Johannesburg, for some reason they upgraded our room to a 4 room 21/2 bath suite larger than most houses. Our accommodations in Kruger were great, and we really enjoyed both the game drives and self driving around the park - we were able to spot the Big 5 while there along with numerous other animals, birds and flora. If you have clients looking for places to stay in the other places we visited we stayed at the Blue Waters in Durban, a high rise located right on the ocean with a spectacular breakfast and good accommodations for families, the White House Guesthouse in Grahamstown - really a nice, nice place and a very energetic, pleasant hostess, Brookes Hills Suites in Port Elizabeth, which also are set up nicely for families with condo type rooms and the Coachman Guesthouse in Swellendam - a beautiful setting in an interesting, old town.
Thanks for all your help with the trip. It is something we will will always remember.
Graves and I made it home without mishap. We enjoyed our trip with Andre who is a true expert on the flora and fauna of Kruger Park. We were amazed at his knowledge and ability to "spot" animals and birds and to identify birds the way he did.
Thank you for a wonderful time.
We would like to Thank Cecil, Sepi and all his team for making our trip to their amazing Country such an unforgetable experience, everything was well organized and executed.
Michalis and Ifi
Big thanks to Elaine Scholz, for unforgettable grin on her face all days on Safari and all what she made for us.Josef
We would like to give our biggest thanks to the wonderful driver Mr Dries de Bruyn, who drove us to Cheetahs Safaris 5 th of march and back and then showed us around in JOhannesburg a whole day. He was very nice and kind and showed us the " diamonds" of Johannesburg.
My overall experience with Climax was wonderful,Cecil was so helpful prior to Departure ,gave us tonnes of ideas on what to do when we did have spare time and the Itenery itself was fantastic !
When we arrive we never once had to worry about what we had to do or where to go ,it was all so organised and Nic our driver went above and beyond the call of duty ,My Partner proposed over there so between Nic and Cecil they organised a jewellers to go too ,again above and beyond !
South Africa, has such a natural beauty, diverse cultures, and amazing wildlife, is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular countries in this world I would recommended my trip and how to organise it through yourselves and Climax !
