The Table Mountain National Park (previously Known as Cape Peninsula National Park ) is set within the metropolitain areaof Cape Town, South Africa's oldest city, with the internationally renowned Kristenbosch National Botanical Garden Located on the eastrn slopes of Table Mountain. On the higher slopes, South Africa's national flower, the protea, can be found.
The park represents the Cape floral kingdom, one of only six floral kingdoms in the world. It is home to some 2 285 species of plants, 90 of them endemic. The park has a Mediterranean-like climate, winter rainfall, well-defined seasons and lush vegetation. 

Facilities and Activities 

Cape Town offers geusts a wonderful glimpse of the cultural diversity of South Africa and a wide array of accommodation. For an exclusive experience, Olifantsbos Guesthouse, located near Cape Point, may be reserved . Attractions close by , also manged by South African national Parks, include Bouders Beach, a safe haven for the African penguin, a Red Data Book species. A cableway and number of trails provide access to Table Mountain's summit and its spectacular views. A restaurant and a curio shop can be found on the summit.

How to get there 

National and International flights land at Cape Town's International Airport daily. Car facilities are available at the airport and in Cape Town, and several tour operators are based in the Mother City.
