Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Town: Table Mountain, Cape Town City

Your Tour Guide will meet you at your hotel or Cape Town airport.
Your first stop is Table Mountain. Take the Cable Way up to the top for a walk along the network of pathways to enjoy breathtaking views of Cape Town City, Table Bay, Robben Island and the Atlantic ocean.
Hout Bay: Your drive through the upmarket suburbs of Clifton, Camps Bay and Llandudno to reach the fishing harbour at Hout (wood) Bay.  Experience a scenic cruise from Hout Bay harbour to view thousands of Cape Fur seals close up in their natural habitat. You get so close to the seals you can almost touch them.
Your last stop for the day will be on top of Signal Hill - With the sun setting over Robben Island you will enjoy your first sundowner in Africa!
Dinner tonight is at one of Cape Town’s most famous restaurants – The revolving Ritz Restaurant in Sea Point!

Day 2: Cape Peninsula & Winelands

Today you drive along one of the most scenic routes in the world - Chapman's Peak Drive opened in 1922, closed in 1999, re-opened in 2003. Reaching the Cape Peninsula National Park you visit Cape of Good Hope and the Cape Point Lighthouse. On a good day you will be able to see hundreds of kilometres of ocean towards the South Pole.... but on a bad day you will know why they call it the Cape Of Storms.
You continue your tour around False Bay towards Simonstown and South Africa's resident Penguin colony at Boulders Beach. Raised walkways bring you close the delightful creatures.
After your lunch stop you visit the Stellenbosch wine region. A visit to one of the wine producing farms will introduce you to some of South Africa's award winning wines. Taste, buy and take some wine for that special person at home.....
You last stop for the day is at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront - the working Cape Town harbour with restaurants, shops and entertainment between the yacht, tug-boats and commercial quays. Dinner (own account) tonight is at a restaurant of your choice.

Day 3: Day at Leisure- Cape Town and surrounds

You have a choice of doing your own thing or your guide will drop you at the departure point of the CAPE TOWN TOP-LESS BUS. (Tickets for own account) The bus offers a 2hr City Tour (with commentary) and visit all the major attractions in Cape Town. You can hop-on-and-of at leisure and visit places of your choice - beaches, museums, city centre, craft markets, restaurants, bars and many more....
Late afternoon you depart for Camps Bay or Bloubergstrand – enjoy sundowners and dinner (own account) in a restaurant of choice.

Day 4: Cape Town to Oudtshoorn

Today’s touring covers a wide variety of scenery. You take the scenic route around False Bay via Clarens Road  - driving through Rooi Els, Pringle Bay and Betty's Bay. Lunch at the historical town of Swellendam.
After lunch you wind your way through the Tradouws Pass onto Route 62 -  an area of magnificent landscapes and towering cliffs, crystal clear streams and the abundance of trees and indigenous flora - all contribute to making the Breede River Valley and the Klein Karoo two of the Western Cape's most diverse regions.
Arriving in Oudtshoorn late afternoon you visit the Cango Caves.  A 1hr guided tour sees us walking deep into mother earth. Large underground halls with stalactites, stalagmites, interesting rock formations and echoing sounds make for a great experience.
Late afternoon we visit an Ostrich Farm. The feathers, also called "white gold" were once South Africa's 4th largest export product. You have the chance to touch, feed and ride on an Ostrich!
Dinner is at the Ostrich Farm (subject to availability otherwise dinner is at the Guest House) – traditional farm food, prepared and served by the locals – a great experience!!

Day 5: Oudtshoorn to Garden Route, Knysna

Another day of amazing variety awaits you. You start by crossing the Outeniqua Mountains to George you leave the Karoo behind and join the now well known Garden Route along the coast.
You reach Knysna around midday where you join the Knysna Featherbed Experience - Onboard a ferry you cruise the Knysna lagoon to the isolated Featherbed Nature Reserve.  At the shores of Featherbed reserve you transfer to a 4x4 tractor and trailer which take you through the forest to the famous Knysna Heads.  A special photo moment - overlooking the Knysna Lagoon, town and 180 degree views of the Indian Ocean.  Walk back along the cliffs, caves and forests to enjoy lunch in the unique outdoor restaurant.
The afternoon you have time to explore the town of Knysna.
Dinner tonight is for own account at one of the many restaurants at the Knysna Waterfront.

Day 6: Garden Route - Knysna to Port Elizabeth

After breakfast you depart to walk with Elephants at the Knysna Elephant Park - touch, feel and learn about these ancient animals.
Further north you drive awesome passes of Grootrivier (Big River) and Bloukrans (Blue Cliffs) to the Tsitsikamma National Park. Walk the small paths in coastal forest to Storms River Mouth. Take that famous picture on the suspension footbridge between the towering cliffs with the rugged coastline as perfect backdrop.
After touring the last section of the Garden Route you reach Port Elizabeth for your overnight stay.
Dinner tonight is for own account at one of the many restaurants along the Port Elizabeth sea front.

Day 7: Port Elizabeth to Wild Coast

Today’s tour takes you via the Eastern Cape Country side – land of the Xhosa and birth place of Nelson Mandela. Your overnight destination is a Country Hotel/ Guest House at one of the Wild Coast coastal villages. 
Late afternoon spend at leisure or a short trip to view the “Hole In The Wall” rock formations.
Dinner at the hotel.

Day 8: Wild Coast to Drakensberg Mountains

Leisurely breakfast with time to walk the beaches of the Indian Ocean.
Travelling back inland and via the rural areas of the Eastern Cape. On Route you travel via Qumbu where Nelson Mandela has acknowledged he spent the happiest years of his youth, diligently doing his herd-boy duties, playing in the river and sailing down the “Sliding Stone”.
Rising from sea level to more than 1 500m altitude you arrive mid afternoon at Underberg – a small village at the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains.
Dinner is at the Guest House or at one of the village restaurants.

Day 9: Drakensberg Mountains – Sani Pass Day Trip to Lesotho

Today is a full day Sani Pass 4x4 Tour: A 4x4 adventure into a different world - the land of the "People of the Blanket". Starting at 1540m above sea level you will follow the deep valley incised by the Mkhomazana River to breast the summit at 2873m - with almost 1000m climbed in the last 8km of your trip in our 4x4 vehicles.
You have a quick visit to a local Lesotho village; meet some of the local inhabitants of the Mountain Kingdom.
You will have lunch (own account) at the highest pub in Africa before descending down the mountain in the afternoon.
Arriving back "home" mid afternoon will leave some time to relax in the tranquil country environment.
Dinner is at the Guest House or at one of the village restaurants.

Day 10: Drakensberg Mountains to Durban

After breakfast you depart for Phezulu village.
At Phezulu village, the world famous Gasa clan has over the last 30 years, allowed visitors to Phezulu the opportunity to savor the taste and feel the rhythm of Africa. Visitors are taken into traditional beehive shaped thatched huts, where the various artifacts, beliefs and rituals are explained, giving foreigners an insight into the fascinating Zulu culture. The Zulu dancing show is impressive with the dancers in their traditional garb, showing off their skills with grace, agility and humour- a truly unforgettable experience! The show is followed by lunch(own account)
After lunch we make our way towards Durban where we visit Durban’s Ushaka Marine World. You spend the afternoon here and have a choice of activities: Visit the unique underwater “shipwreck” aquarium, dolphin shows, sun bathing or swimming at the beach, browsing the wide range of curio shops. A drive through Tour of Durban City ends this day.
Dinner is for own account at one of the local restaurants.

Day 11: Durban to Pongola Game Reserve

Leaving Durban your tour takes you to the north coast of KwaZulu Natal. Known by the locals as Zululand or Pondoland you will enjoy endless views of sugar cane plantations and indigenous bush. En-route we stop for lunch at a country restaurant (Own account)
After lunch we head towards the north eastern corner of KwaZulu Natal where you will find the Pongola Game Reserve. The Reserve encompasses the Pongola river and Pongola Lake. The area is home to many typical antelope species, elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, hippo and crocodile.
Shortly after check-in you have some time to relax before you enjoy a Sunset Cruise on Lake Pongola - enjoy your favourite sundowner while on this water safari.

Day 12: Pongola Game Reserve via Swaziland to Kruger National Park

A third country will stamp your passport today.
To reach Kruger Park you take the route via Swaziland - an independent country still ruled by an absolute Monarchy! A 3hr journey (border to border) brings you back into South African territory and soon you reach the entrance gate at Kruger National Park. You enter the park at one of the southern entrance gates and experience your first safari on route to our overnight destination INSIDE the park. Dinner is at the Rest Camp restaurant.

Day 13: Kruger National Park

A very early start for the morning Safari - animals are more active in the early morning and it is the best time to spot them before they rest during the heat of the day. Breakfast will be at one of the picnic spots or rest camps in the park. After breakfast you continue on your safari until noon when you will be back at your lodge for a mid-day siesta.
Late afternoon you will be introduced to your Kruger Park Ranger. He will take you on safari with one of the open safari vehicles. The safari will extend into the night when you will use a powerful search light to look for the many nocturnal animals not seen during the day.
Dinner is at the Rest Camp restaurant.

Day 14: Kruger Park via Panorama Route to Johannesburg

Your final safari is after breakfast on your way to the Kruger Park exit gate. Soon the bush makes way for mountains as you enter the escarpment area.
The Panorama Route is one of South Africa's major attractions - you visit the third largest canyon in the world - Blyde River Canyon. Also on your list is God’s Window and Burke’s Luck Potholes.
After lunch you make your way across the Highveld  to Johannesburg.
Arrival in Johannesburg will be late afternoon or early evening. Drop-off at your hotel or Johannesburg Airport
